You know I actually did a search on this before I decided on a .44 Mag. I got as far as finding a Magsafe load that Magsafe swears is reliable in the Desert
Eagle. It's a 180gr. at about 2,040 FPS.

Magsafe at one time did make a 50ae version but I think it might be discontinued.

Bump. Magsafe made one... wow - I must find one in production. A fragmenting 50 AE would be considerably more powerful than any other ammo for it.

It would be good in a situation where you wanted to keep down penetration. Some have mentioned fear of ricochet, steel or other items a bullet traveling, at
say 1800 ft sec out of a 440 Corbon (same bullet as 44 mag)... Be one that might work in a revolver ok not sure about the XIX if it is to light. VII could be
ok??? 50 cal is one, I have not considered for that purpose...

Well, as I said before, a fragmenting round is EXTRMELY damaging to an unarmored target. Is there even a 440 corbon that is frangible? What I really want is
the 50 AE.

Wow, I think I read over kabbage's post, are you saying that round is frangible kabbage? I have seen it on their website too!

Hi,
Any bullet that is made for a 44 cal can be shot in the 440 Corbon... Same barrel dimensions. Just have to do your own loading. What KCabbage is saying about a 44 mag loading... I have to figure a 440 C would be outrageous in speed. Being fragmenting would be one bad, "Watermelon" shooter. GAB |

unarmoured. | ||

ah humes yes it should work well on them, I even heard it is ok on small/medium non thick skinned game.
I checked my lists don't see any, online ammo engine lists magsafe still available possibly back stock. they do seem to get the hydrostatic fanfare from what I saw on some test vids. |

Guys, guys, guys. The load I was speaking of in my post IS for the .50AE. It's a 180gr. .50 AE load at 2,040 fps. Magsafe swears it's reliable in
the Desert Eagle. Go to there site and check it out. It should still be in production.

It's all good Gab.
Someone buy some already and test em' out. If I had a .50 I guarantee I would be the first guinea pig. |

I will buy them as soon as I can, those are fragmenting?

Hi,
I went to the site and read all of it http://magsafeonline.com/magnum_performance.html Pretty impressive talk... Then the folks at Magnum Research said a slug as light as 250 grains would not function their massive Desert Eagle in .50 Action Express Caliber. MagSafe's 180-grainer functioned perfectly under all conditions. GAB

So... are those fragmenting?

NL226,
Home page shows pictures... http://magsafeonline.com/index.html Since they are designed to come apart and are separate pieces. I would have to say they do fragment. Did you check the site??? GAB |

It looks as if it becomes a mini buckshot load upon impact.
